So many people on here are bashing a necessary part of the fabric of travel fastpitch: fathers who dedicate their time and money for their student athletes to play competitive softball. For the life of me, I can't figure out what some people have against fathers who coach their kids. Think about it, in ANY other walk of life, fathers would be/are applauded for devoting time to their kids, except the one's who are softball coaches. I have never heard the backlash in other sports that I do in softball about fathers who coach their kids. Can anyone explain this phenomenon?
I feel it comes from the dad playing his daughter at SS and batting her in one of the top 4 spots even though there are better SS and she should be at the bottom of the order. Just my opinion.
