HIGH SCHOOL RULE BOOK situation.

Can a pitcher who pitched in the first game of a DH, pitch in the second? 13U level using high school rule book.

Yes I have seen this done and if it was my kid he would NEVER play for that coach again EVER Period and neither should you. The worst thing you could do to a kids arm at any level is warm him up, have him pitch, cool him down and have him pitch again.

The warm up is the key once you gear up no matter if you throw 10 or 100 pitches once you get to the point where you pitch your done for the day. Again why would you ever need to win a game that and risk injury to a kids arm. Ask any pitching coach or trainer on LI or in Baseball and they will tell you the same thing that is a no no.

Some leagues have a modification on HS Rules that prevents any player from pitching at all in 2nd game of Double Header regardless if its one pitch thrown in first game..... I agree with Anonymous..... Would never entertain doing that to any child.... for any reason.

Funny how you talk about doubleheaders. What happens in tournaments? I have seen a kid throw game 1 in relief the game 2 in relief in Tournaments tons of times. I saw a kid throw 2 weeks in tourney in 13u 50 pitches friday, 15 Saturday and i know he pitched Sunday but dont know the count. Come on in March?? Its funny how you mention doubleheaders. But in Tournaments its ok to pitch in more then one game same day I have seen it done by the same people who claim it shouldnt be done.

You people are obsessed with pitch counts and who pitches where and when. When we were kids we threw ten times as much as kids today and no one had these major arm problems everyone talks about. One little twinge and everyone runs to the ortho. They make these crazy diagnosisis regarding growth plates and such, doctors didn't even know what that was back in the day. Your arm hurt you rested for a day and everything was fine. Now the answer is MRI's physical therapy, money making businesses.

you must be a coach.or maybe one of the thousands of parents that are clueless.any kind of arm pain should be dealt with .if seeing a doctor is the wrong way to go about it then you are a complete idiot.you go your way and i will go mine.see you on the big field.

To the post above you are out of your mind, Major league pitchers are on counts. I guess your a guy who loves to put a trophy in his LR window so everyone knows your a great "COACH" your a knuckle head even for thinking what you think and then to write it and send it out. Stay away from youth baseball your going to hurt someones kid.

We used to do a lot of things back in the day maybe thats why we never went anywhere?

You should leave that team asap thats insane. people wonder why so many kids don't play at 16 or they have a dead are at 16> 13u is really where you want a kid to shine if you have your head up your ass.

You want a kid to shine at 16 - 17 and the way to do that is not over thrwo at a young age.

What to win a BBH tournanment? Really I'm glad my sons are done with LI baseball and playing in college where if you even throw one pitch your done for the day.
