Why was this thread removed and how come I haven't seen any posts from Baseballallday? I miss his maniacal rantings...

Yes I care about 9u baseball that is why I started this thread... I think baseballallday is a genius and a visionary... Why so angry about 9u baseball? People make me laugh. 9u baseball is important to 9u players and parents... these kids have to start somewhere and yes if a kid is really good at 9u he will be very good at 15u if he continues to grow and develop... I know most of you are hoping that yours kids will turn into great players when they get older but guess what most won't... and the kid that was a star at 9 will be an even bigger star at 13 then 14 then 15... And the kid that can't hit or throw at 9 probably won't be a star ever...

Wow , are you living in a dream world . Almost all of the 9 yr old "stars" that played with my son are not even playing now at 15. Being a star at 9 means you can catch and throw 50' and hit a 50mph pitch . Just enjoy the kid now ! It will be over very soon . Nine yr olds , sheesh .

That's because most are playing LAX... I am sure Derek Jeter sucked at nine and became a star at 13... Be realstic all the kids that were good early become better if they love the game continue to practice and grow to a decent size.. If you can throw hard 50' why can't you throw hard from 60' if your body matures? It just makes sense that if a kid is good he is good. My older son was the best 9u player I have seen and now he is the best 13 u player because he loves the game and continues to grow.

YOU are completely wrong. Kids at 9,10,11,12 have the advantage if they have size. Once other kids catch up to them in size they will not have an advantage at all. Parents like you will reward them for hitting flyball homeruns then wonder why they turned into outs at age 13 on the big field. Parents like you dont have a clue that its linedrives and a short swing that make a ballplayer, not a homerun or a trophy in the den.
Kids that cant hit at 9 CAN go on to become college ballplayers.
You should hide somewhere dude. ".....will be an even bigger star......."

WOW another pompous know it all jerk on this web site… What a shock... I never said anything about hitting homeruns or getting trophies any one can buy those just ask the Falcons... I am sure you are an expert and played AAA ball like all the other great minds on this site... I merely stated that kids that are good at 9 can continue to improve and get better as they get older... obviously you have a chip on your shoulder because you have one of those little pee wee kids that can't play ball and you are hoping against all hope that he turns into a big scrapping athlete like his dad... more likely like his MOM... I feel that a kid that shows promise early has a better chance than kids that don't...Some kids will get bigger and stronger but they will still be behind the kid that started out a great player and continued to grow... This was more a rhetorical statement and wasn't meant as a an argument starter... But some ignorant people feel they have to put in their two cents when they have no clue... I think we have to see potential at a young age and develop it not wait and see until they get on the big field as you all love to say... I should go hide get your head out of your butt and smell the farts....

I think you're the A-hole with a statement like that. Are you serious? I care about 9U baseball. Baseball in itself is a boring game to watch, I think the youger the player the more exciting the game. Haven't you ever heard the crowd at a tee-ball game? 9U and 10U will be the most exciting game you will see. Once the pitchers develop and games become pitcher's duels, it can become a very boring game to watch.

Do you even have a kid that plays? And if you do I guess he started playing 15U on 90ft fields. Give these kids some credit, everyone has to start some where.

Baffoon, perhaps you're right. and bad mouthing organizations, parents and player, you're right again , that was wrong. But you gotta admit his maniac rants gave us something interesting and exciting to read. You never knew what he was going to say next. And those who responded are just as bad because they kept the fire burning. He was out of line with some statemnets but if you look into some of the thread on this site, some people say some ridiculous things and you have debating back and forth all up and down this site. Bottom line, I my honest opinion, I find all of it quite interesting to read.

Guys like this start to talk then hike up their skirt and head for the hills when the animal is let off his leash. A piker and a fraud? I think the only instance of fraud that can be seen is your tourney record! As soon as you left baby baseball hiding, You have won NONE! Is that why you're back in hiding? Guys like the one above get mad because they get a run in their pantyhose while running away from GREATNESS!

You got that right! You can bet that anyone who played with your son went nowhere. At least he's following in dads footsteps. Being a star at 9 means having no contact with you. You are contagious!

I think that anyone responding to a thread should have a kid playing in that league. If you do not have a player in that league you are worse then the parents bragging about there kids. They are just proud and you must not have a life.

Looking in the mirror is a tough thing to do. You must at that time, face yourself in all your glory! Now put yourself in my position. I must witness greatness day in day out as I stand before myself. That is a lot to ask from anyone. I have a feeling you, just wan't to stand in the shadow of a legend.(That's why I got that small studio in your head) I'm fine with that though. Just say those magic words and you're in! Reply with Who ya Wit to 555-7898 and you will have a reason to be! All hail the BEAST!

On this website I read a lot about teams losing their # player. Baseball , although a game that put a lot of emphases on a single player , it is still a team sport.
I’ve also noticed that the teams that they talk about losing their big shot is usually a good team. Why a player would want to move from the 10U black team to a new superstar team (that has not played a game yet) is beyond my thought process.

If a player pitches a no hitter he most likely had a bunch of great plays behind him. If a batter hits a three HR and his team wins his pitcher must have pitched ok , and the players in the field must have done their job.

To the teams with great # 1 and #2 guys that are never happy. Forgetaboutem work with your core players and develop them to be the #1 and #2 guys, better yet make all of them your #1 and #2.
The team of superstars never works for more than 1 year . Little Bobby (sorry I meant to say little Bobby’s Mommy or Daddy) who is use to be the go to pitcher, that batted 4th and when he was done pitching was moved to a infield spot, can’t handle that little Johnny is now taking away his spots. Oh don’t forget that these superstar teams that love your #1 and #2 star still have daddy’s in coaches uniforms making decisions about who will play where.

Players will always go to well coached teams , just do your job and you will be fine.

My son wants s to try out for a 9u travel team this year. Can anyone recommend a good travel baseball organization? After reading some of these posts on this site I want to make sure I don’t make a mistake. Some are even offering free baseball. Is that a gimmick? Any insight you have to offer would be appreciated.

If your serious about it you should do your own homework. Call the organizations, send emails ask questions. Don't rely on people on the site that don't like other organizations except their own. It's your son do your own homework. Any organization that doesn't return your calls then not the place to be.

i agree...but i wouldn't only call as these organizations will only try to sell you on why they are the best. I would go to watch some games and see how the coaches, players, parents act....you need to ask lots of questions around the NJBL, BBH, PAL, etc.

I would say call and talk to these people. First you wanted to know if the free baseball is a gimmack. Usually not as they are simply trying to put together a top team. Free from what i cantell has usually meant free.

Thanks everyone for your tips. I’m new to the area and I stumbled upon this website. I do know enough to go watch a few games and see how the teams conduct themselves on the field. The only problem is not all teams play the fall season and tryouts are usually in the spring. I have read a lot of you post on this site and it seems that there are a few teams to stay away from in the 9u. I guess I will continue to do my home work. Thanks again.
