Can we be a LITTLE objective?? I don't agree with a lot of what goes on regarding the Mudcats but I've been playing them for a few years now and 80% of that team hasn't changed in that time. And the kids that do leave are usually pulled off from lack of playing time not because they get cut...

Players are always comng & going from team to team in travel baseball. Im not defending Mudkitty Mike, but there is no loyality at all! Its not the fault of a 9 or 10 yr old player to pick and choose a team. Its the committment or lack of committment from the parents. They are always looking for the next best thing, whether its whats best for their kid or not.
ok einstein... first they are 9/10 yr olds not high school. loyalty & committment goes both ways, from kitty and the kids. but when kitty recruits a kid and then disposes of him midseason when someone else comes along that is disgusting! so although we appreciate your thoughts best you keep them to yourself on this one.

AT THIS AGE LEVEL YOUR TEAM IS YOUR TEAM YOU GROW AND DEVELOP THE PLAYERS THAT YOU HAVE. KIDS PULLED OFF BECAUSE OF LACK OF PLAYING TIME IS WHAT THAT KITTY CAT WANTS YOU TO BELIEVE. BUT IF IT WAS YOUR KID WOULD YOU STAND FOR THAT? YOU WANT TO BE OBJECTIVE.... SHOW ME THE MONEY?? WHERE DOES IT ALL GO? FUNDRAISING,DONATIONS,EVERY SEASON FEES. YOU GUYS SHOULD LOOK LIKE WILLIAMSPORT TEAMS!SOME OF YOUR TEAMS WHERE TSHIRTS OTHERS WEAR VESTS AND OTHERS JERSEYS. I HOPE THAT YOU REALIZE THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING OBJECTIVE AND BLIND, EVEN IF ONLY FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR SON.

I agree sometimes its on the parents. But I think when it comes to mudcats its less about that and more about his drive to win at all cost. Kids should not be replaced midseason. They paid and made the team and should get to play it out. If you bring in a new player then sit another its the same as cutting him. My son has been in the same organization for 3 years and he is only 10. I don't overeact to things. Competition is good for him. I would not allow my son to play on his team just because the way he manages with no regard how anyone feels around him. I mean kids on his and team he is playing. Also the way he cries about every call if it doesn't go his way. I've seen him say things to other kids on teams that should never even be thought of. My sons team had 13 kids in beginning of year only 1 kid has left. no one was added because 12 was enough.

Hey Sparky, this is travel baseball, even if its at 10u. Not your mickey mouse team that you are used to! As far as the team fees, speaking as a parent, no one gives you more bang for the buck then the mudcats! If you are brave(no pun intended)lets compare the team fees. Maybe you should worry about your own team then any other!

Why should his son have to listen to music? (sounds like the band stinks) Stop singing about the game and let THEM play. A clue is what you are lacking!

A child is taught loyalty. When a child comes to an parent and a request is made to play a sport, the first thing to be discussed is willingness to dedicate the time they ask you to commit to. Season, tourney, etc... The same should be expected from the coaches! You as a player are not happy? Finish your time and then move on(while giving 100%). You as a coach are looking for a player? Find him, lock him in and bring him aboard at the completion of the season.(While giving the players you currently have 100%) You can't just teach it, it must be DEMONSTRATED by the teacher! If you don't know, now ya know!

So your son probably replaced mine. Thanks you did us a favor! By cutting playing time he forces the child to leave. Now if a child is dedicated why would his playing time get cut... because he is in a slump? So are the Mets and they still collect checks and have fans go to watch them play. Realize that at this age some kids are still afraid of the dark, some still sleep with their parents, some still wet the bed. What lesson does cutting a child midseason teach? Only that the person that they looked up to and respected is nothing more than an arrogant MORON! Every moment is a teaching moment for a child. Someone should take a few a teach Mudkitty a thing or two. Just glad to be out.
