Best are probably as follows:

LI Breakers - 14u team that plays up at 15
LI Storm White - Gregg Sarra team pretty stacked
LI Prospects - 14u team that plays up at 15u
LI Spartan X - Old LI Express and Spartan team mixed. Play up at 15u. Still good but beginning to fade

After that there is alot of teams that are average to good at best, LI Titans White, LI Renegades, LI Ducks Orange, LI Breakers West. These teams can win on any given day with their #1 pitchers but after that they just ok.

It is official the worst 14U team is the Long Island Breaker North team. It is run by dentist and pure idiots they chased out their real coaching staff and let the click take over. It looked like we were watching the loses on video tape same stupid mistakes over and over. Their sons are partial players and dont deserve to wear the Breaker uniform! Maybe the Breaker organization should be a lil more aware of who they have running these teams or are they not worried about a future. It was a shame to see over 10 players at another tryout this passed weekend from the Breaker organization. If this isnt proof then I dont know what is.

This is a bad thread to start, no one wants to be a bad team and we already know who are the better teams, if your new I suggest you search other threads on the site. What we should be discussing is who are the best and worst organizations on the island. Who is really helping the kids and who is taking money becasue they need to pay for their facility.....I start I think Frozen Ropes is failing the system, they pull you over the coals and charge high amounts, do not have fields and most of the age groups do not win.

I'll put my 2 cents in and day LI Jr. Quacks when it comes to Worst organization. Depending on what age group you are in and who the coaches are for that team will depend on what your child gets, its is not the same across the board, have a clueless coach, you get nothing, the organization does nothing for their teams. Question the Goon, you get an annoyed response if that. But make sure your $$$$$ is paid, they give you nothing. Even less they don't even have a facility. Their use of the D***** it what people get attracted to. Its nothing but smoke and mirrors

I think it is safe to say that people will have good and bad experiences on different teams and different organizations. Some people love it and some will hate it. It all depends on your family and your sons needs. It amazes me that year after year these organizations that everyone bashes on this site all have over 100 kids in their programs and put out competetive teams so they must be doing something right.

I'd love to see the people who do the bashing run a program with 100 kids = 300 parents....can you guys even run a team of 12 kids apparently not if your playing for the organizations that you bash.

Here is just a suggestion....watch your son play baseball and ENJOY IT forget the bull@#$@ and enjoy it cause its over before you know it!!

Sometimes the people complaining arent the ones who shy away from the responsibilty. the complaints are justified and the coaches really do suck. And daddy baseball like the other post mentions is real. dont start a team to keep your kid in the spotlight even though he sucks. you hold the whole team back by doing that. you discourage players on the team and you keep good players on the bench watching the rest of the team fall behind. this keeps good kids from joining good organizations because of a couple of bad coaches.

Hey in one lump some I hear bad coaches then you hear parents being pissed. It is travel baseball and there is no room for coaches, dads or not to sit kids on benches when parents pay hard earned money especially with the cost of fuel what it is. You always hear an idiot say that its always someone whos kid isnt good enough who complains not in every situation they carry kids to sit the bench and steal there money.Wake up people it is a business dont fall into the politics if your kid works hard he deserves to play ball. It is your job as a parent to find an organization that will treat every kid equal.

Where was this team? This team was working its ass off training since last fall throughout the winter. Tournaments this summer include Vero Beach, Myrtle Beach, Jersey Shore, Sports at the beach , ECTB and Perfect game in Ft. Meyers Florida. Most of these Tournaments they played up in age. MLI white placed 2nd in the 16 year old wood bat league at Baseball Heaven. So keep chasing your little trophies, while we play for scholarships.

Why did they bring in a DUCKS pitcher to win it for them then?? Win with your team!!!!!!!!! Dont bring in others!!!!!!!

Do you really think its a big deal if they win with other pitchers? This team looks like they have a goal of college baseball for their players.
A a tournament win means nada in the grand scheme. Performing well and showing projectable skills means ALOT! If they both happen, perfect.

its very common at the big tournaments to have guest players for a variety of reasons. Some teams are grandfathered into the tournaments. Players who want to be seen at those same tournaments, who are not on an entered team, sometimes play with a team just to be seen.
What will happen is that his coach will make arrangements for him to play, he will play a game, or as little as 3 or 4 innings, to get a rating. Usually the coaches who want to see them are in attendance. Its easiest for pitchers to do this. They can do a bullpen on the side and then pitch 2 innings in a game. If they light up the Stalker, they are suddenly in the mix.

Position players have it a bit more difficult. If a ball isn't hit to them, nobody knows how their fielding/arm strength is. Its particularly a problem at these tournaments because there's no infield/outfield before games.

Hitters have a slight advantage in my opinion. Since pitchers want to light up the radar, most of the pitches will be fastballs. Good hitters love fastballs.

a ducks pitcher was brought in because two players one being a pitcher are no longer on team. as far as ducks player winning it for them he was a part of an 11 player mli team that played all year together. we dont need to say anything more we proved a point we said we would win it and we did but lets talk about gothems brining in 18 players 2 that where 17 years old as well as breakers with there 16 players.sour grapes will get you know where. put a team together give us a call and we will see what happens. thanks for watching out games!!!!

As far a a duck player, he pitched 4 innings over 7 games and besides do you know what the relationship was wih this pitcher to MLI?... Dont think you did. Was he on the mound against a very good Gothems team?... no! two of MLI stud pitchers were there to beat them. By the way that Gothem team beat the mighty Breakers 12-3, lol so lets end the crap.

This thread is comical. Bringing "ringers" to tournaments is standard practice and should be done by all teams. Its a 3 - 4 game tournament, your objective is to win every game.

"Ringers" is a problem when a particular team plays an entire season with the same roster but brings new kids on the team during playoffs, that is not fair.

Just a thought....

It is not stanard practice for all teams. Maybe that is what you say to make it better. Its fine to bring a kid in for a tourney just don't be too proud cause its not like hard work won anything. When a team wins with the same team all year because they practice hard and all kids are loyal to team that is much more satisfying. Shorts cuts only work for so long.

i go back to post about top players leaving organization(mli). they where ok players who think the grass is greener on the other side.will be good players on a mediocre teams not the elite players to play on a very good team. sometimes parents choose where child need to play unfortunate but thats how it goes.

How can you say the LI 14u Breakers is best team on LI? Back it up with facts. One your North team was in the BOS B division and you had two other 14u teams an East and West Which combined now for teh fall and you still haven't won anything yet? When you start to walk all over everyone on LI in the 14u level then you can start to talk about being the best.

I watched the Breakers 15U "B" team beat the Titans tonight at Baseball Heaven. Score was 1-0. Good game.
Also saw the Levittown Cardinals get beat by the Team Next Level, 8-1. Outstanding pitcher on Next Level.

6 of the players from the Next Level Team are from the U13 Long Island Yankees. They are coached by 2 HS varsity coaches that were coaching the yankee team. This is not daddy ball. They look like the new big dogs on the diamond.

Next Level is a 13U team playing 14U in the tournament. Beat LI Breakers 5-3.

A great effort by the entire Next Level team. Keys RBIs, catches, and pitching made for very exciting game. No doubt these teams will meet again.

My kid is on the team and I can tell you that no one guaranteed my kid a scholarship and I did not pay $4K. Not sure where you get your information from. It was an excellent game vs two very good and well coached teams. I’m sure they will play again.

Storm blue, Next Level or whatever they're called played well throughout the tournament, saw 2 great lefty pitchers and a couple of good bats. Could be a team to watch but one tournament doesn't tell a story. Breakers had an off day though.

Amen to this. Having a new team to help raise the bar is always a good thing but this was only 1 tournament. Let's see what the future brings.

Storm, how can anyone judge a Storm team when its never the same players, especially in a tournament or championship situation. I will never look at the Storm and say what a great team, in xyz age group because each week that team changes to fit the current situation. Any parent who allows their kid to sit on the bench after playing the seasons, while they take their stars from each team to form that team at a playoff or tournament should be ashamed of themselves. Then said parent has the nerve to complain. HELLO the kid isn't writing the check to play on this team themselves.

Say what you want, but don't always believe what you see on the field. It maybe a sheep and baseball clothing.

LI storm MLI Phantoms LI ducks are some of the best 14u this year. They played in the best and toughest tournaments some played up in age (phantoms) and some are playing up in age during fall and tournament play (ducks). No one wants to hear how you won a tournament in Oct with a bunch of kids form other teams when u were MIA during the summer.

My understanding is that Next Level is a brand new team. The BBH tournament they won was the first tournament they played together as a 'new' team. They also play fall NJBL. No ringers, no borrowing players, etc. Just a team trying to start up.
