Seeking opinions...

My son txted me and asked if he should get low mid or high spikes when his school team places their order. FREE!!! LOL

Even in basketball the whole theory about high sneakers protecting the ankles has been debunked. Low-tops/Hi-tops have the same amount of ankle injuries.

I'm not sure why the mid and high spikes came to be so popular in baseball but in my opinion they would restrict speed a bit. Jeter made mid/high popular years ago I guess.

Mid/High also look terrible when worn with high pants instead of the low Clemson cut style that alot of guys wear today. My kid alternates between high and low pants depending on his mood.

Any opinions on low/mid/high or is it just a personal preference?

High and Mid tops will protect more against metal spikes than lows. Does not hamper speed at all just makes them look slower because of the style. I don't believe that it does not give you more support it has to to some point. Won't prevent all ankle injuries but has to help with some.

This is soo funny. You write a long story(practically a book) on the topic of who has the best 9U-12U team.
And I must say you made some valid points. But now you come on here to ask if you son should get low/mid/high cleats. Wow!!! Judging by your last post one would think you are Einstein, and now you can't even figure out what cleats your son should wear.

My question is, does it REALLY matter?

u make no sense. His last post was about 8u and 9u parents making it the end of the world if there kid dont bat 3rd.
Now the guy is asking opinions on whether or not hgh spikes can protect ankles.
He never said he knew everything just giving an opinion on things and looking for answers about spikes. Whats wrong witht hat?
