We know of 3 teams going to BBH already -- just a little early to sign up. You will see a lot of teams give their deposits after the new year.

Good 13 year old teams don't play in the spring.

Good 13U teams play in the spring and work around the MS schedule. Playing 2 games on a Sunday morning or afternoon so the team could get to know each other and get ready for competitive summer league is great for these kids that love baseball. Just because you can't find 10 or 11 good players to field on the weekend you want to knock the teams that love this game and have the players to put on the field.

Any news on where 13U top teams playing this year? Is BBH's decision to sponsor teams a factor for any teams decision?

No, if you play Spring ball you abuse the pitchers. That means they are playing six days a week.

So don't give us the "good" team thing. Its because the fathers are addicted. Kids pitching mid week then on Sunday at 13? Yes greattt for their arms.

Actually most school coaches require that pitchers DO NOT pitch for their travel team during spring ball. If you are on a good team with a coach that actually cares. you DON'T pitch the boys that are pitching for their school team and treat spring as spring training.

Really? So the best pitchers don't pitch in the Spring?

How many guys pitch?

Come on. The best kids all pitch on their school teams. If you think you could play a DH on the weekend and not use your top 6 guys at 13, your being unfair.

The Yankees don't have 5 pitchers they trust.

It is what it is. We NEVER pitch our boys that play for the school. It is not worth it. Again Spring training

Your right its not worth it.

Let them play school ball and then practice with their summer team one night and then BE KIDS.

And once again you can't have 12 kids that can pitch and your BEST guys just never pitch. Stop it.

It's not spring training, its not the major leagues AND they are playing ball 5 days a week... thats not enough?

Teams are starting to sign up for 13U BBH Spring league. Anyone know of other teams committing to BBH spring or BOS Spring? Trying to decide which league to take my team. We are an above average team (not superstars) looking for a competitive division to improve our team for summer tournaments. Not doing NJBL because have no access to any home fields. Thank you.

I am so glad I dont know you because I would tell you to your face your an idiot! Spring training for our team - AGAIN OUR TEAM - is considered practice. IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING about LI baseball the Summer Season is always the most important. Why would you risk hurting kids arms by pitching them in school ball and spring league play? It helps the team get back into the swing of the game as a team to play spring. Man are you thick.... stupid too

BBH will take as many teams as want to join for the spring or any other season they are not going to cap the number of teams and will have up to 3 divisions if neccessary do you really think they are going to turn away 1900 dollars because their league is full, then I have a bridge to sell you.

Revs still top team until they self destruct like last year, Probably should be playing 14U, but egomaniac coaches wouldn't be able to handle losing games. Hurricaines already broke up before they even got started. Select new team, have revs three best players from last year. Breakers Black will adjust well to 90' fields but other breaker team will not. Bombers/vikings is this a new team or combo of those two teams? This age group is where you start to see brand new teams and organizations like Whalers, storm, titans start to assert themselves.

1- revs lost 2 top players to select still have best player at SS
2-select has good players but few weak ones also
3-hurricanes merged with falcons
4-revs dominated 12 they will not dominate at 13
5-breakers black will play well on 90
6-big field closer games=DEFENSE & PITCHING

Revs might have relaced those players with better players. Their problem will be that daddy coaches kids not as good as the new players they have. That will cause major ego problems. Very ego driven team with losing not an option as they proved last year everytime they lost a game they made changes. The ss no longer the best player. Top two coaches clash all the time like oil and water. Blamed everyone else for their problems last year when they were the main problem.

He'll be tootinghis own horn to at least 4 tournament championships and will win summer league. They draw the best and will pickup whoever they need. Still have best pitcher on LI who will win every game he pitches.

they cant possibly "draw the best" since the best is long gone. I guess thats why the entire queens wolfpack is now the revs. hows that working out?

Working out great. Queens Wolfpack was already one of the top teams. Combine them with the best pitcher on LI and the other strong players Rev has (minus the one pitcher stud who went back to Nassau with his Dad to form own team) and they will be unstoppable. i am not a parent on the team. Just an interested observer.

What a stupid thing to say. Nobody is unbeatable and if you think so why is that player playing 13u against inferior players, challenge them and play up. They seemed to have unbeatable pitchers last year as well. Their coach is constantly asking new players to join that team. Better players come along and they will replace what they have now.

Please I hope the whole season isn't going to be about the REV blowing their own horn on Called Strike Three. Lot's of good/great ball teams out their with MANY great players. Enjoy the summer and let's play ball. REVs didn't take it all like they claimed last year. Not saying their not good but your making people sick with your boasting

Yes, that is what keeps them strong. Its not stupid. It will teach the kids a good lesson. Work hard to improve your game to keep up with the best. Everyone plays hard on that team knowing they could be replaced any day. In return, they get to play lots of games and travel all over for challenging and exciting tournaments. A very fair trade-off if you ask me. Why should the 13U stud pitcher play up? Let him defend his reputation of being the best 13U on LI. Didn't say he was best 14U -- he'll do that next year.

Can't wait till everyone catches up to him in size and then he's just another pitcher that everyone says remember when he was so dominant.

Karma is a bit** for someone wishing bad on a kid. You should be proud. jealous. and my son is 9 so I have no clue who you are talking about just that its ridiculous to wish he just another pitcher.

Someone keeps saying the revs have the best 13u pitcher on long island. Did the hard throwing kid from inferno black go to play with them? He has been the best pitcher in the age group the last two years by far. From afar the problem with revs is they are Bout winning and losing when it should be about player development at this age..

Revs ace much better than the Inferno Black pitcher. Bigger, stronger, throws harder and much better control. Also can hit the cover off the ball.

Kid from Inferno Black was good but no where near best at that age. Revs handled him easily last year as well as many other teams.

Nope Inferno kid went to the Hurricanes. Inferno Black picked up some good ball players for spring/summer. Gonna be a very good competitive season.

Remember, Select has the Revs 3 best players from last year. In the cooperstown game last year, one kid couldnt throw a strike, the catcher couldnt catch (manager threw glove at him during game) and the 3rd kid got picked off 1st base with bases loaded in last inning.

Lenny and Squiggy have a lot to say about every team and every player. These two guys have the biggest mouths and start problems every where they go. Now they have there own team the Long Island Selects. This will be fun to watch Because they are the ones that if they don't win they cry like babbies as seen last year as you can hear their big mouths at every game from the outfield. Always fighting with parents from other teams and within the team and all the umpires. Having them as part of the Revs organization gave them the bad name. Every where Lenny goes he fights with, even where his kids go to school and the town he lives in! Someone needs to medicate him.

Li Revs v. LI Select will be a great game one day. They, along with the Breakers Black, are the 3 most talented teams on Long island. I'd pay to see those 3 teams play against each other.

Select has no chance against revs nor does Breakers Black revs much better than they were last year. Big pitcher and catcher that left Revs for select are good but cant do it themselves. One player from Inferno black who is good rest of team questionable.

You have not seen the new Inferno Black their 6 best of old just picked up 5 studs. Wouldn't put a cap on Inferno Black being one of the heavy hitters they are the strongest they've been in 3 years.

Inferno Black has lots of kids to draw from in their community. Will always be a tough team, but Rev, Select and breakers Black seem to have more depth. Inferno lost one of their best pitchers who also caught and played OF.

I assume this is how the rev coach see's the 2012 season. Breakers Black. Will be top dog if they held onto their players. Hurricanes to new to be in top 5. Bayport only if they jel with vikings mix. Is these teams all playing BBH this summer or BOS or mix?

You will get to see how good Inferno Black will be this year they play probably two of the best 13U teams around in Hackensack Comets and Connecticut Capitals next week at BBH.

Ok, Let me start. 13U baseball ratings are completely nuts. Leave the team bragging out and let the kids enjoy the game.Find something else to entertain your self, support your team and be a cheerleader, insted of been a Brat. See you at the Field.

I stumbled across this forum in search of a travel team for my 13 year old. I must say, without sounding condescending, this is a clear indication of what men (and women) do when they live vicariously through their children.

It is obvious that these people that post are COWARDS, why else would you talk all this stuff and not sign your name?

How dare anyone talk about anyone else's child or coach. If you have an issue either say it face to face and grow up or GET OVER IT!

All of you need to stop promoting your child's talent in words and let them show it on the fields. The numbers won't lie THIS season.

Signed, *(note I signed my name!!!)

Gerald- agree with the comment about kids.No kid should ever be mentioned or even alluded to. Anyone who played these teams last year know the kids they are talking about... but as for lenny an squiggy. This is the exact place to let people know what they are getting into. The guy running the new team is bad news.. and any parent has the right to know prior to letting their son join a team run by these guys. I say this because I ignored this website last year when I had my son join a team. I was warned and read all about the crazy coach here. I chose to ignore it as sour grapes or just people with a vendetta. Everything ended up being true. My kid is a lot younger but everything sign was there. bad job by me.

This is a lesson on how to put a target on your back.
Little field talent shows up at 9-10, big field talent doesnt show up till 15-16.

All u guys know that spring is just practice its hard to say who will be on top. Some of these teams have boys that can not play spring because their school coaches wont let them. So try not to bash anybody until the summer.

should be a good matchup but Select will dominate with no problem. tremendous hitters, with great defense and pitching. coaching is top notch. they use many hit and runs, suicides and even triple steals.

A friend of my son played for the REV team he said its not a good place. They play stupid games with kids heads. He said Fidels son is a great ball player but he does not know how to treat the boys as part of the team. AS for your son just have him keep bringing cold water to the games for the players.

The manager's son is a strong player and has a right to strut his stuff since he backs it up with strong play. The only way to quiet them is to beat them on the field, but right now I don't see anyone on LI able to do that.

the kids are the most talented now

Its not the kids strutting their stuff everyone knows they can play, its the crazy coaches who can't handle critisim of how they handle their players. they lost 5 games all last year and only had 2 original players left at end of year, that should tell you all you need to know.

It is amazing how much jealousy there is for the Rev. Why? Because they found the right formula for putting a winning team together every season. They make no bones about it. Last year, they had some weaker players that held them back a little. They got rid of them and Replaced with new players. A couple of dads took their strong players to form own team, Rev replaced them as well with even better players. Need one more pitcher for a tournanent, go get best player from Breakers Black They don't hide the fact that they are out to win. The jealousy should stop. Rev coaches, like them or not, have never hidden what they are all about, right or wrong, so at least give them credit for setting a goal to win and doing just that.

Sad thing is if you put all the kids together and had them choose up teams they'd all have fun, be friends and they'd probably learn the game better with no daddy's and mommy's around trying to "coach" them.

The way this is, all the daddy's and mommy's wanna do is crow about 13 year old baseball because it helps them feel young by talking trash. Baseball is played by the players and is for the players, not for the parents or the coaches. Let the kids enjoy it and try and set a good example for them by showing them how to respect others.

I've seen both teams. If I have to remain objective, I would pick the Rev to win but I do agree the Rev overstate their awesomeness. They are the big fish in the little pond here on the Island. Not to take anything away from their achievements but they are beatable.

It's not jealousy its outright disdain for the people that run that organization. All the players that have gone through that organization can play and are good players, this years better players are next years weaker replaced players that's just the nature of the BEAST they admit it themselves. They have even replaced better kids than their own which makes them the ultimate Daddyball kings.

If your kids saw these comments, they would be embarrassed to call you their parents. Having pride in your kid is one thing but then denying someone else the same right and feeling as you is really hypocritical.
Whether a Rev, a Select, a Breaker or Inferno ... applaud these kids for their abilities and acknowledge how good it feels that you are so proud of them.
Love your own kid instead of hating others. Now play ball. See you this weekend.

I'm enjoying the love fest you guys all have with each other.
So if I keep writing my team is the best, Top 5 on Long Island, people will eventually believe it ? Is that how it works here ?
There are a few other teams besides the Rev, Breakers and Select who could be considered with this elite company but they don't blog, they just win.

You've been watching Doctor Phil too much ...
Coming on this site and not expecting parents to talk trash like a 13 year old is like going to a porn site and not expecting to see naked people.
This site is pure entertainment as no one with a right mind would admit to saying these things in public.
