Yes, travel ball is bigger, but if they can't even cover school ball fairly, I doubt we'll ever see coverage of travel ball.

Let's hope the weather holds out for a couple of days so we can get this season started!

Back to playing favorites...Lindy is 3-0, one of Newsday's top ten and is lucky if they get listed on the scoreboard.

Burke from Islip hit a HR yesterday against sayville then hit a HR in his first at bat against Kings park today then hit a grand slam in his last at bat against Kings Park to win the game. 3hr in 2 days. is that playing favorites or is the kid good?

He may be good, but is he the only one who is good out there? The problem is they focus on the same guys all the time. Are they looking at anyone else?

newfield has a jv catcher who can really let it rip.throws out multiple runners in the game. great direction to the pitchers, great on the bases too. chances are he'll get scooped up by varsity.

come back when he's ON varsity. A lot of catchers are great at the JV level.

different game on varsity. he could be throwing out 8th and 9th graders on JV. Is the varsity squad on newfield THAT good that he hasn't been pulled up yet? trust me dude if he was that good he would at least be seeing some time on varsity or at least practicing with them.is he doing that yet? whats his name?
