We are just over one month away from the HS Softball season. So who are the top teams in both Nassau and Suffolk?

Nassau County
1-Clarke
2-East Meadow
3-Macarthur
4-Island Trees
5-Plainedge
6-Seaford
7-Plainedge
8-Long Beach

I think Seaford and Bay Shore have a good chance of winning but don't be suprised if Hills West makes a run in Suffolk.

Curious if that is in order or just a list? Clarke over the next 3 is interesting. After their Pitcher, who does Clarke have?

EM looks loaded and so does IT and Mac. What about Massapequa. would have thought they would be on this list as well?

In Suffolk, Bayshore should be right there one more year before they lose much. Commack and Longwood are loaded. Then you have Hills West, Smithtown West and a young Connetquot team.

Is that #1 for Clarke based on one 9th grade pitcher?

I believe Clarke lost a number of seniors last year and although they have one of the better up and coming pitchers on LI, they will still need a way to score runs. It will be too much to ask a pitcher to pitch shutouts or even 1 run games every time. So I do not see them being at the top of this list, more at the bottom of the top teams in Nassau County.

On the Suffolk side, there really will be a smaller handful at the top in AA. I envision it falling out as follows:

1. Longwood
2. Bayshore
3. Commack
4. Hills West
5. Smithtown West
6. Connetquot
