Just read what was being said about Long Island Lightning 10u.Wanted to set the record straight. My son played with them last year. They had a great season. The coaches were great and we made alot of friends. The reason we left had nothing to do with the team. The 10u Lightening is well coached and a great team.

My son played on the Lightning as well last summer. He enjoyed his time with the team, they have a good group of coaches who CARE about the kids.Botton line. Why kids leave and go to other teams doesn't necessarily mean that the team was bad or the coaches were bad. Sometimes it is just time to move on. And from what I know they didnt lose 5-6 kids. It was indeed 3. With my son being one of them. And to answer any questions asked in advance, it had NOTHING to do with the coaches that are in place now. They are indeed good coaches. And if you have a 10 year old looking for a team to play on, it wouldnt hurt to start here.

Let me get this straight..2 fathers who just posted who's kids played for this team and said have great coaches, had a great year with the team, met great people and still remain friends left to play elsewhere? Sounds like the perfect situation..right? Then why leave. Maybe it was because your kid didn't play,or didn't play the position you wanted him to,or didn't like the coaches, or bad coaches,or wants to coach his own kid,or will never be happy anywhere his kid plays. And yes it was a bit more than 3 kids who left

Not totally fair. That team as well as some others were looted by the Falcons. Might not be a bad team or coaching. I think JohnPep and Hal R went to Falcons together. Lightening coaches do a great job and their team was one of the top 9U's.
